What are the advantages to in-home care?

There are several advantages to In-Home care. Some animals may do fine at a kennel but for some it can be very stressful. Many pets feel more comfortable in their own home where everything is familiar. They get one on one attention and can keep to their same daily schedule.

How does in-home care benefit the pet's parents?

As the pet owner it would relieve the stress of having to transport your pet and eliminate the trauma of wondering if your pet is okay. No more worrying about imposing on neighbors, friends and family or worrying if they might have forgotten to check in on your pets. For many there is a sense of security knowing someone is going into your home several times a day.

What should I expect from our pet care service?

You should expect the best love and care for your pet while you are away. We will be following the agreed upon instructions for care such as their feeding, exercise, time(s) of visits, and dosage of medications as needed. Anything outlined will be done as well as services that serve you such as, bringing in the mail, taking out the garbage, watering the plants, leaving on the porch light overnight, cleaning up after the pups between drop ins etc.

Benefits of boarding at our home-based location.

Your pet still gets the benefits of feeling at home as per being in a kennel that is less inviting. Your pet would still get much more one – on – one interaction and personalized attention as well as socialization with other dogs. We can keep up with your pets regular eating schedule, bathroom breaks and daily exercise. You can also add Pet Taxi service to relieve the stress of having to drive your pet to us.

How much in advance do I need to book?

If you are new to Krazy Dog Lady for boarding or drop-in visits we do ask for at least a 2 week notice to get the chance to schedule a meet and greet with you and your pup. We try our best to accommodate those last minute requests but we very much appreciate as much advance notice as possible. Generally once you are part of the KDL family we can usually accommodate services even same day as long as there is space on our schedule and/or home.

What happens if I do not arrive home as scheduled?

We ask for you to at least give us a call or text to let us know your pets stay will need to be extended or if additional in-home services are required. We understand things happen and flights delay or weather changes etc, and we are here to keep your pet safe.

What if the pet needs to be brought to the vet?

We will call you to let you know what is going on and try our best to bring your pet to their vet. If their vet is not within 3 miles we will bring them to the nearest emergency pet hospital. As explained in the agreement all vet bills are the responsibility of the pet owner.

How to start service?

If you are ready to start pet care services with Krazy Dog Lady just give us a call or send us a text and we will set up the initial meet and greet. Please call ahead to make sure we are available for the date(s) that you need. For home based boarding the meeting will include our other pups to more or less insure the safety of your pets and ours. You will be sent home with a packet that will go over our services and some initial forms that need to be filled out for their first visit. We will be gathering some general information and making notes of specific instructions that need to be followed. At this time we will be obtaining the key or code to your house ( for in-home care ) and half of the estimated pet care cost.
